An early morning fire has destroyed a Fentress County business.
The blaze broke out around 4 a.m at the Possum Trot Antique Shop on Highway 127. County EMA Director James Bilbrey said a lightening strike more than likely caused the blaze.
“It appeared that lightning had struck the tree causing the fire to spread down the side of the structure,” Bilbrey said.
Bilbrey said a tree fell across the roadway which slowed down the emergency response time.
