A Monday afternoon fire destroyed a DeKalb County home.
DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department officials said the blaze broke out at a home on Rolling Acres Road off Cookeville Highway.
Fire Chief Donny Green said two people occupied the home when the fire occurred. A man and his grandson reportedly heard a loud bang and discovered the back deck engulfed in flames.
No injuries occurred, but Chief Green said the fire destroyed all of the family’s belongings.
A cause of that fire still undetermined at this time.
