Finalists To Be Interviewed For CHS Principal

The search for the next Cookeville High School principal is winding down.

Putnam County Schools Superintendent Jerry Boyd said two finalists for the job will visit Cookeville next week.

“One candidate will be in Cookeville next Tuesday all day and end their day with a panel interview,” Boyd said. “The second candidate will be at Cookeville High School on Wednesday and end their day with a panel interview by the interview team.”

Boyd said he will have an opportunity to briefly meet each candidate during next week’s visit.

“The bulk of their time needs to be at Cookeville High School and interacting with the students and community members involved in the day-long visit,” Boyd said. “I’m looking forward to hearing the input from the team.”

The selection team will recommend a top candidate to Boyd, who plans to make an official hire by May.

A total of 30 people applied for the job.
