A new judge has been assigned to oversee the aggravated assault case against former Cookeville Police Officer Kyle Farley.

Farley Appears in Court, Hearing Set for March 5th

A Cookeville Police Officer facing assault charges appeared in White County General Sessions Court Tuesday.

29-year-old Kyle Farley of Sparta faces charges of domestic and aggravated assault after reportedly assaulting his wife last month.

The White County Sheriff’s Office reported that Farley used a stun gun against his wife during an argument at the couples’ home. Two children were also in the home at the time of the incident but were not harmed.

Farley is being represented by Attorney Brett Knight of Fry, Fry, Knight & Looper in Cookeville. A plea was not made in Tuesday’s court appearance.

Farley’s will appear in court March 5th at the White County Justice Center beginning at 9 a.m.
