Putnam County Sheriffs Department looking for a Newport, TN man accused of scamming an individual out of a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace.
Investigators searching for Clifford Jonathan Fine III. He represented himself as Clint James to a local resident. Fine met the owner of a vehicle attempting to purchase the vehicle, handing over a bank envelope with cash. The money turned out to be counterfeit.
The vehicle was later found in La Vergne. Fine has an arrest record with warrants in Putnam County for felony theft and criminal simulation. He is affiliated with the gang, the Vice Lords.
