Expected Traffic Delays In Sparta

Expect traffic delays in Sparta Friday afternoon as T-DOT repairs areas around the railroad crossing on State Route 111.

Repairs will begin around 2:00 p.m. Highway 111 will be closed from Fred Hill Road to Mayberry street in both directions. T-DOT crews will be repairing issues around the train tracks.

Detours will be marked. Law enforcement suggests local residents using alternate routes.
