Exit 317 Repairs Will Slow Weekend I-40 Traffic

Expect traffic delays this weekend on Cumberland County’s portion of Interstate 40.

Bridge deck repairs on US 127 over I-40 will close one I-40 lane in each direction beginning Friday at 7pm. This is the main Crossville artery at Exit 317. The road work will last through Monday at 6am when the lanes will be reopened.

Motorists should expect delays on Interstate 40 this weekend and should be alert to personnel and activities in this area. T-DOT urges the community to avoid this area and use alternate routes if possible this weekend.

T-DOT says the project is part of a larger resurfacing and bridge deck repair project in Cumberland County on both Highway 127 and US 70N. The project should be complete by October.
