Hilham – First Day Hike Presented By Standing Stone State Park. Friday, January 1st starting at 9:00am.
Everyone has a New Year’s resolution, and Standing Stone State Park challenges you to add hiking to that resolution. TN State Parks have several opportunities throughout the year for hikes, and Standing Stone State Park, along with other State Parks, will be hosting a New Year’s Day Hike to get your 2021 on the right track. Ranger Shawn Hughes will be leading this hike and you will be meeting at the Park Office, at 9:00 am and setting out on the trails at 9:15 am.
This will be a great time to learn about other opportunities coming in 2021, burn off a few of the holiday calories, and mostly enjoy being outdoors. The hike will be a moderately difficult 1.25 mile hike, on uneven terrain, and with a couple of elevation changes. Bring sturdy shoes, water, and clothing suitable for the changing Tennessee weather.
