Cookeville – Jakes Day Hosted By Mustard Seed Ranch August 17th from 8:30a-1:00pm. Jakes Day is a free day of activities from Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship, and is put on by the Upper Cumberland Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF). Children in the Upper Cumberland, boys and girls of all ages, will able to experience things like archery, skeet shooting, paint ball, BB/pellet gun ranges, petting zoos, and educational seminars that in some cases they would not have the opportunity in their normal lives to experience. Kids and their families will also be treated to a lunch of hot dogs, along with a NWTF hat. And best of all, everything is free. No reservation needed just come to the FREE event and have fun.
