Byrdstown – Wooden Bowl Making Class Presented By Cordell Hull State Park. Saturday, March 20th at 10:00am.

Bill Maddox will be teaching a hands-on class on the art of carving bowls. This is an intermediate class and will continue the development of your wood working skills. Bill will be teaching you how to safely design and carve a bowl from a block of wood. Each participant will be given their own carving kit, which includes one sloyd knife, one hook knife, one detail knife, one leather strop, one rouge, tool roll, and local green wood. Everyone will need to sign a liability form before they can participate. Make sure to bring your lunch. This class will be outside so please dress for the weather. This class is $60 and limited to 9 people. Participants should be prepared to practice social distancing of at least 6 feet and are encouraged to wear face mask.
