More Election Workers Needed In Putnam Co.

The Putnam County Election Commission needs workers for the May 1st County Primary early voting period. Debbie Steidle is the Putnam County Election Administrator.

“We really could use a few more Democrats if they are out there and willing to work,” Steidle said. “We’re close to having enough, but we just need a few more workers.”

Steidle said it’s important to have a 50-50 mix of Republican and Democratic workers, especially during the primary elections.

“You want a 50-50-percent mix to have enough protection,” Steidle said. “Just so it’s all running the way that it should.”

Steidle if you would like to work you can stop by the election commission office to pickup a form to get the process started.

Early voting begins next Wednesday.
