The National Weather Service said Thursday’s tornado that impacted the Pleasant Hill Community included max winds of 85mph.
The EF-0 storm was on the ground for 5.8 miles with a max width of 125 yards. The Nashville office reported most of the path was around 50 yards wide.
The storm struck just before 4pm, causing damage to the Pleasant Hill Elementary School. The tornado formed near Highway 70 and Brownstown Road, moving into the Pleasant Hill Community. Siding and roof damage happened in that area. The weather service reports the tornado was strongest at this point. It traveled down Bud Tanner Road causing downed trees. The storm continued down Claysville Road and Stonecrest Loop before dissipating.
