Drowning Victim Found In Smith County Monday

Smith County emergency crews recovered the body of a victim who drowned at Cordell Hull Lake Monday.

Officials said the incident happened around 3:00 p.m. when the man went missing while swimming with friends.

Monday night officials confirmed they discovered the man’s body. He has not been identified at this time.

Crews from Putnam, Jackson, and Smith counties assisted with the search along with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
