Donating To Charitable Foundation Will Have Double The Impact Tuesday

Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation’s Double Your Donation Day will take place Tuesday.

It’s a one day opportunity for residents to donate to any of the foundation’s charitable funds. Director John Bell said all donations made that day will be matched dollar for dollar up to $15,000.

“We’ve got eight donors that are creating that matching pool of up to $15,000,” Bell said. “It’s really a challenge to our community to step in and help us respond compassionately to patients right here in the Upper Cumberland who are struggling with sickness, disease, or injury. We also want to promote those programs that create a more healthy and well Upper Cumberland.”

The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation helps roughly 2,000 patients each year. The foundation frequently assists low-income and under-insured patients with things like medication, transportation, specialty equipment, utilities, and other critical needs.
