An easy and free way to help victims of tragedy is donating blood. Blood Assurance Donor Recruiter Trudy Cody said donating helps folks in the Upper Cumberland and across the country.
Blood Assurance has been sending blood to hurricane victims since Harvey ripped through Texas. Additional blood on hand would mean Blood Assurance can answer the call if additional blood is needed for shooting victims in Las Vegas, Cody said.
The Blood Assurance Donor Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Blood drives have been scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church. Another will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
