District Attorney Confirms Investigation Into E-911 District

The 31st Judicial District has opened an investigation into the Overton/Pickett E-911 Communication District.

The office of District Attorney General Lisa Zavigiannis confirmed the investigation Wednesday morning, but declined to provide any additional details.

The Tennessee State Comptroller’s Office released a report Tuesday that found nearly $85,000 in questionable expenditures made by the district.

Overton County Executive Ben Danner said Wednesday that he nor the board of Overton County Commissioners would be at liberty to speak about the report until the completion of the investigation.

Calls to E-911 Director Chris Masiongale and district board members went unanswered Wednesday morning.
