Legendary ESPN Analyst Dick Vitale will visit Cookeville as the speaker for Tennessee Tech’s College of Business Fall Celebration.
The Fall Celebration is scheduled for October 27th at 6 p.m. with tickets currently priced at $75 for alumni and community members and $15 for students.
Dean’s Office Director Cheryl Montgomery said the college uses the Fall Celebration as a way to bring prominent figures to speak to faculty, students and alumni.
“He’s going to be talking about leadership, about his professional story, and how to have a successful life and successful career and overcoming obstacles,” “So it guarantees to be a fun night for our students, for our alumni, and for the community.”
Only two days remain to purchase tickets for Tennessee Tech’s College of Business Fall Celebration at the normal price.
Montgomery said the college wants students and alumni to hear from speakers like Dick Vitale because they believe it provides a benefit to hear about various life experiences and think about things differently.
Montgomery said last year’s guest speaker was Pulitzer-prize-winning author and former journalist Doris Kearns Goodwin. She said the college is able to bring such distinguished speakers through the Joe Albrecht endowment. The Fall Celebration serves as the kick-off for the year-long Albrecht Lecture Series.
