DeKalb Sheriff: Homeless Couple Committed Burglaries

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department arrested a homeless couple accused of stealing from homes, outbuildings, barns and a church.

Joshua Dewayne Brown, 31, and Ashley Nichole Tittle, 24, were found living in a tent in an old outbuilding at Wilson Hollow Road.

They face 10 counts of burglary, three counts of aggravated burglary, four counts of vandalism 10 counts of theft under $1,000, and three counts of theft over $1,000. Brown is also charged with evading arrest.

DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray said the two targeted 11 victims, including one who was burglarized three times.

Brown is under a $126,000 bond. Tittle’s bond is $122,500. Both will make an appearance in DeKalb County General Sessions Court on September 28.
