For the first time ever the DeKalb Emergency Services Association will be providing meals to those in need on Thanksgiving Day.
“We decided to do more in our community through the association,” DeKalb Emergency Services Association President Blake Cantrell said. “We really want to give back and we decided that we would deliver meals to some of the underprivileged in our community.”
Cantrell said about 200-people have signed up to receive meals, which will be provided through donations from different businesses, organizations and county officials.
Emergency services workers from across the county will meet at 7:00 a.m. that day to cook the meals and deliveries will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m
