A Fentress County man sustained minor injuries when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle Tuesday morning.
The injured is identified as 25-year-old Mason Bradley.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 40 near miler marker 320 in Cumberland County. A preliminary report states that Bradley’s 1999 Ford Explorer struck the deer, causing the vehicle to overturn.
A state trooper investigating the crash said Bradley was wearing a seat belt, which made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
The THP said deer will be moving more frequently as the weather conditions become colder, which should be a reminder to motorist to stay alert and wear seat belts.
