Daniels: Celina Election Went Smoothly, 50% Turnout

Clay County Election Administrator Wanda Daniels said Celina’s election went smoothly.

About 507 people voted in the election and that’s a good turnout, Daniels said.

“Close to about 50 percent, we have 1,100-something in District 3, close to 50 percent,” Daniels said.

Tuesday’s election brought a new mayor, Joey Rich. Current Mayor Willie Kerr chose not to run for re-election.
