Cumberland Man Arrested After Reported Hatchet Attack

A Cumberland County man faces an aggravated assault charge after allegedly attacking another man with a hatchet.

Jacob Edmonds was charged after an incident that occurred at about 4 a.m. Sunday. A resident at Brenda Lane Apartments called police after he was awakened by a fight outside.

Police caught up with the victim at Cumberland Medical Center. He was able to drive himself to the hospital for treatment.
