National Weather Service and Cumberland County EMA damage assessments show an EF-1 tornado touched down Wednesday night, just north of Crossville.
It reportedly touched down just before 6:00 PM with max winds of 90 miles per hour. The path length was roughly 1 mile and path width was 50 yards.
This would be the first tornado to ever touch down in Cumberland County during October. The tornado moved north-northwest which was stated as being unusual for the area since it was not associated with a tropical storm system.
