Cumberland Commissioners Brave Roads And Cold Weather To Conduct Meeting

Cumberland County Commissioners braved hazardous roads and cold weather last night to conduct their first meeting of 2018.

The commission voted to apply for a Community Development Block Grant, which if awarded, would extend water lines to underserved parts of the southern portion of the county around Old Highway 28 and East Valley Road.

If the state approves the grant application, South Cumberland Utility District will pay any required matching grants.
