The Cumberland County Board of Education has approved a $55.6 million budget.
It includes a 4-percent raise for all employees and the first year of a four year one-to-one technology initiative.
The school system will not be asking for any additional contributions from the county. They will be seeking funding for a building project at Crab Orchard Elementary.
That project will be funded through the county’s debt service budget and is not part of the general purpose school budget.
