Cumberland Co. Crews Finish Cleanup And Storm Damage Evaluations

Cleanup efforts are coming to a close in Cumberland County after straight line winds downed multiple trees and power lines Tuesday morning.

EMA Director Travis Cole said majority of the wind damage was focused in the Fairfield Glade community.

“In total we had eight houses that sustained various light damage from trees and limbs,” Cole said. “Very little damage to homes. Mostly it was power lines and trees.”

Cole said it took crews about three hours to clear the debris. Cole said all homes are now accessible after the joint efforts.

“We had a great group effort from Fairfield Glade Police Department, Cumberland County Fire Department, Crossville Fire Department and of course my office with Emergency Management,” Cole said. “Everything went very well.”

Cole said no injuries have been reported from the Tuesday storms. The hotline for storm needs is still operational. That number is (931)-484-3900.
