Cumberland County’s Financial Management Committee has approved the purchase of two new ambulances for the county EMS and new portable radios for emergency responders.
The cost of the new ambulances will total $279,864. Officials said they will be replacing two older ambulances that will be pulled out of service due to mileage and age.
The committee has also approved the purchase of 108 new portable radios for emergency responders.
AMK Services of Anderson Indiana received the low bid for $1,441. Officials said the new radios will replace older ones that had issues with dead spots in certain areas of the county.
