The Cumberland County Beer Board levied fines against nine businesses Wednesday for selling alcohol to minors.
According to authorities, the businesses sold the alcohol during an undercover operation on prom night.
Each business had the opportunity to accept a $2,500 fine or a 90-day suspension of their license. All nine businesses pleaded guilty and accepted the $2,500 fine.
The businesses included Homestead Market, Vandever Market, Happy Sac, Plateau Exxon, Little Brad’s, Proffitt’s Market, Greenwave Sunoco, Weigel’s of Fairfield Glade and Sawmill Market
All fines must be paid within one week.
