A Crossville woman facing charges after hitting a 12-year-old on a bicycle with her car and leaving the scene.
Police arrested 36-year-old Natasha Aguilar Tuesday after finding bicycle tire marks on the back of her silver BMW. Police discovered the car parked at 833 Prentice Street where it was being worked on by a friend.
The incident happened on Old Lantana Road last Thursday afternoon. The boy tried to cross the road to ride his bike in an empty parking lot. The silver BMW, driven by Aguilar, hit the boy and left the scene. He suffered a dislocated ankle, according to police reports.
Aguilar told police Tuesday that she did hit the boy with the car but left the scene because the boy “popped back up.” Police found she had a suspended license and did not have insurance.
