Crossville Teen Faces Drug Charges

A Crossville teenager speeding through a school zone turned into a marijuana arrest Thursday.

Police arrested 19-year-old Emily Elizabeth Elmore on two drug charges after stopping her Thursday morning. Officers watched Elmore pass other vehicles in a 15-mph school zone. According to police reports, officers approached Elmore’s car when she jumped out and approached the officer. Elmore told the officer she had just smoked marijuana on her way to work.

The officer said Elmore smelled of marijuana as did her car.

Elmore showed the officer two bags of what appeared to be marijuana. The officer also found a marijuana grinder and cigar packages.
