A Gadsden, AL man faces charges of criminal impersonation and resisting arrest following a weekend incident outside a Crossville supermarket.
According to reports, police responded to two men riding around the Kroger parking lot asking for money. Police found the suspects in the Kmart parking lot doing the same thing. When the suspects saw police, they sped off but were stopped by police.
A third man, sitting in the backseat of the car, provided police with the name Seth Noojin and did not know his social security number. The name did not turn up in a police search. Crossville Police asked the man to get out of the car multiple times, but he refused.
The officer told the man he would be tasered if he did not cooperate. He again refused. As police attempted to remove him from the vehicle, he fought their attempts and and officer tasered his leg.
Once out of the car, the suspect continued to fight and resist arrest. Crossville police tasered the man in the back and finally got him cuffed.
Inside his wallet, they found the name Christopher Raymond Lewis. The 29-year-old Gadsden, AL man did not have outstanding warrants and said he did not know why he lied to police.
Lewis charged with resisting arrest and criminal impersonation.
