Two Crossville residents have been charged with aggravated burglary for their roles in an incident at a Rebecca Drive home this week.
Cumberland County deputies took 18-year-old Makenna Annalise Miller and 21-year-old Avery Lee Conley into custody late yesterday afternoon.
Several firearms, a 60-inch television, miscellaneous jewelry and a prescription bottle with 90 10mg hydrocodone tablets were taken from the home. The value of the stolen items was estimated to be $11,400.
There were no signs of forced entry. Multiple wall-mounted cameras in the home were removed, and power had been shut off from the main breaker.
The homeowner told deputies he let his grandson stay at the home for one night prior to the incident, and his grandson knew the combination of the keypad to the home’s electronic door lock, as well as where the stolen items were located. The homeowner said he saw Miller – whom he identified as his grandson’s girlfriend – in the home and asked her to leave.
Miller was charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of theft of property and initially placed under $50,000 bond.
Charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, Conley’s bond was also set at $50,000.
Both Conley and Miller are due in court December 10.
