Crossville Man Charged With Meth Possession

A Crossville man faces meth charges following an arrest made Wednesday night.

Crossville Police arrested 33-year-old Robert Heady at the Executive Inn on Highway 127 during an outstanding warrant check.

An arrest report states officers first made contact with Heady outside of the motel.

One officer noticed Heady turn his back while talking with the second officer and throw something on the ground. The officer found a small black ear buds case that Heady had thrown, containing 4.9 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $450.

A background check by Cumberland County Dispatch revealed Heady had a warrant for his arrest after failing to appear in court on a prior meth charge.

Police took Heady into custody and transported him to the Cumberland County Justice Center for booking.
