Crossville Man Arrested For Possessing Over A Pound Of Marijuana

A Crossville man was arrested Thursday night for possession of more than a pound of marijuana.

According to a police report 20-year-old Tyler Zimmerman crossed his vehicle over the yellow line while speeding near Dunbar Lane.

The arresting officer initiated a traffic stop and noticed the marijuana smell. Zimmerman stated he did not have any inside his vehicle but he smoked earlier that evening.

After a vehicle search the officer found in Zimmerman’s trunk 1 pound and 6.8 ounces of the drug and a set of scales. Over a thousand dollars were found on Zimmerman.

He was arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center.

A court date and bond have not been released.
