A Crossville man was arrested in Cookeville Thursday for connections to the U.S. Capitol riots about two months ago.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Middle District of Tennessee Office, FBI agents apprehended 28-year-old Bryan Wayne Ivey. Ivey is set to make an appearance before a U.S. Magistrate judge in Nashville later today.
According to an arrest warrant, Ivey faces charges of unlawfully entering a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in the Capitol, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol building.
U.S. Attorney’s Office of Middle Tennessee Spokesman David Boling released photos of Ivey being present while windows were broken and a door was breached at the capitol building. Ivey is the 8th Tennessean facing charges from the riots that took place on January 6th.
