The Crossville City Council honored the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment Tuesday night, five days before they leave Crossville for deployment.
Mayor James Mayberry read a proclamation during Tuesday night’s monthly meeting, declaring Sunday, July 15th as 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment Day. The mayor urged all citizens to show support Sunday morning by lining Highway 127 as the troops leave Crossville.
The group will be deployed to Eastern Europe for 13 months.
