The Crossville City Council approved last night a $1.29 million low bid for improvements to the city’s water system.
The council also gave first reading approval to a $691,000 budget amendment for that project. Officials said the budget amendment covers construction of a new chemical building, storage, and feed for the Water Resources Department. It also includes work at Meadow Park Lake and Holiday Lake facilities.
The council has also selected an engineering firm for upgrades to the traffic signal and intersection at 4th Street and West Avenue.
