Crossville is close to having an industrial development location ready for bid pending approval from City Council.
City Manager Greg Woods says the contractor laying the building pad has requested a two-week extension to finish the project.
“The contractor has been doing a really good job, but this has been a very rainy summer so he asked for two weeks, which he was due, to extend his completion time on the pad,” Woods says. “He should be wrapping up this week, and it should be ready to put on the market and hopefully bring a new industrial job and some clients to Crossville.”
Woods says having the site designated as one of the state’s ‘Select Sites’ will help in marketing the space to potential businesses.
The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development will assist the city in marketing the location to industrial companies both domestic and abroad.
