Crossville officials awaiting a structural engineer assessment before reopening its Palace Theatre.
A small portion of one of the building’s wall collapsed last week. City Manager Greg Wood said the debris has been cleaned and the nearby road has reopened to traffic.
Wood said the parking lot on the side of the building remains closed. Wood said the city believes the Palace Theatre structure is okay but want a professional opinion on the damage.
The building was fully restored in the late 1990’s, but the collapsed portion of the wall was about 80-years-old.
