Visitation to the Cookeville Regional Birthing Center and Inpatient Rehabilitation will be limited effective immediately.
Only one identified support person will be allowed in both areas.
Beginning Monday, only two visitors will be allowed per patient for hospital inpatients. All visitors will be screened to determine the risk of illness. Visitors must be 16 years of older.
“We have been in contact with the Tennessee Department of Health as well as the Tennessee Hospital Association and have determined that now is the time to limit visitors to help prevent the spread of coronavirus,” Cookeville Regional CEO Paul Korth said. “Other hospitals across the state are implementing the same kind of visitor restrictions.”
Visitors to the hospital will be limited to the North Tower Main Entrance, the East Entrance and the Emergency Department Entrance. Public entry will be allowed 5:30am to 9:00pm.
