Crash With Injury Reported In Smith County

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 40 in Smith County.

The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near mile marker 263.

Sergeant Greg Tramel said a box truck went over an embankment and sent one person to Vanderbilt Medical for treatment.

The left lane is currently blocked for a wrecker.
