A Cookeville woman was transported to Skyline Medical Center following a crash outside of Algood Sunday night.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 85-year-old Jessie Spencer was traveling on Brotherton Mountain Road when her 1991 Buick ran off the side of the road around 8:09 p.m.
Putnam County EMA Director Tyler Smith said Spencer’s vehicle rolled into a tree and was briefly trapped in the vehicle with the car on its side.
Upon arrival, emergency crews extricated Spencer from the vehicle before flying her to Nashville for treatment.
No word on Spencer’s current condition or the extent of her injuries.
