A two vehicle crash injured two people in Overton County Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:00 p.m on Highway 111 at State Route 293.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has cited 79-year-old Lula Barriger with failure to yield at the right of way.
Officials said the crash happened when Barriger stopped her vehicle in the right southbound lane and attempted to turn across the left lane and into the crossover. Her Dodge Matrix then crossed into the path of oncoming traffic, striking a freightliner driven by 41-year-old Derrick Borchardt of Cookeville.
The THP report did not include any information about the extent of the injuries or the conditions of the injured individuals.
