Crash Injures 17-Year-Old Sunday

An unidentified 17-year-old boy had to be airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center following a crash in DeKalb County Sunday.

The two vehicle collision happened on Highway 70 West near Hurricane Ridge Road.

Authorities said the 17-year-old was was driving a Pontiac G5 when he crossed into the path of an Ford F-150 driven by 45-year-old Steven Glynn.

Rescue Squad members had to extricated the boy after he became pinned inside the vehicle. His condition remains unknown.
