UCAAAD Offers SNAP Assistance

Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability (UCAAAD) is now offering application assistance with SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, for adults 60 and over or individuals with a disability to provide eligible individuals with monthly benefits to buy food. Applicants 60 and over or an individual with a disability can now call the UCAAAD SNAP Benefits Coordinator at (931) 432-4111 for free and confidential application assistance.

Cookeville – Book or Treat Presented by the Putnam County Library. October 26th through 30th from 10:00am to 6:00pm daily.

Celebrate Halloween at the PCL with Book-or-Treat! Visit the Children’s Library to pick up your Book-or-Treat bag. Each bag will contain a FREE book to keep forever and a Halloween surprise! Want more surprises? Do you have a library card, or are you ready to sign up for one? If so, your Book-or-Treat bag will also include five random books to check out for two weeks. Your five books will include Halloween books and new books while supplies last. They will give out Big Kid Bags (which may have chapter books or scary books) and Little Kid Bags (which will contain picture books and NO scary books). One bag is available per individual. Please call at (931) 528-3636 to let them know when you’re there!
