Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability (UCAAAD) is now offering application assistance with SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, for adults 60 and over or individuals with a disability to provide eligible individuals with monthly benefits to buy food. Applicants 60 and over or an individual with a disability can now call the UCAAAD SNAP Benefits Coordinator at (931) 432-4111 for free and confidential application assistance.

Attendees are asked to wear a mask and bring wish-list letters to drop in the mailbox for Santa to take back to the North Pole. Participation is free.

This year will also showcase the Winter Wonderland Pageant. The pageant will serve age categories 0-21 for females. Entry Fee: $40 Funds raised from the pageant will go towards the John White House Restoration Project.

A free map that includes the addresses of participants in the fourth annual Merry and Bright Holiday Home Challenge will be available starting Nov. 30 at Cookeville City Hall. It may also be viewed and printed at cookeville-tn.gov/ls. New this year, the map will include a Christmas scavenger hunt that can be completed along with the Tour of Lights.
