The exhibition features the works of artists Sarah Davey, Kevin Dotson, Ian Mabry, Lexie Moore, Tate Newfield and Rebecca Smith.

Cookeville – Jennifer Bueno Art Exhibition

Artist Jennifer Bueno’s exhibition, “Call and Response” will be on display in the Lakeview Gallery at Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft, Feb. 25 – April 25.

Her work uses glass to describe the ineffable feeling of connection we have to our surroundings and the beings and objects we encounter. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally. She is also a designer for Bueno Glass, a company she and her husband Thor Bueno formed in 2004.

The Lakeview Gallery is open Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Peaks of Hope is offering a Griefshare program each Tuesday January 10th – April 4th from 3pm-5pm. Each session will involve a video by Christian grief counselor, a group discussion, and a personal Bible study in their provided workbook. The requested donation for admission is $20 which includes the workbook. This is a 13-week series and all are welcome to come walk through grief together.

COVID-Related Mortgage Help Offered!

The TNHAF program was established to provideassistance to income-eligible Tennessee homeowners who are experiencingfinancial hardship associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Recipients may applyfor and receive assistance up to $40,000 per household for past due mortgagepayments, property taxes, insurance premiums, HOA fees and other specifiedhousing costs.

TNHAF funds will be used to eliminate or reduce pastdue payments and other delinquent amounts, including payments under aforbearance plan.

Tennessee residents who wish to apply for the TNHAFprogram can visit thda.org/HAF to access the online portal and begin theapplication process. 

UCAAAD Offers SNAP Assistance

Cookeville – Adult Softball League Registration Open

Registration is open through March 25 for three slow-pitch adult leagues: co-ed church, co-ed open and men’s open.

Co-ed church teams will play on Mondays, April 4-May 23; co-ed open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 5-May 26; and men’s open on Wednesdays, April 6-May 25.

 Games in the 12-game regular season will be scheduled between 6 and 9 p.m. at 2200 W. Jackson St. A single-elimination tournament will follow. Players must be at least 18 years old.

Registration is $400 per team and may be completed at www.cookeville-tn.gov/ls/athletics.

In addition, umpires are being sought for the leagues. Those interested should call 931-520-5224.
