Country Farm And Home Opens In Rickman

Country Farm and Home Center opened it’s second Upper Cumberland store Monday

The newest family-operated farm, home, building, and garden center is located on Highway 111 in Rickman.

“I think it will be a really good location because it’s close enough to Cookeville and the interstate to where we can get a big draw from Putnam County,” owner John Scott said.

Scott said the new store is about 90-percent stocked with inventory.

“There’s more to come this week and as we grow we will add inventory as we’re asked for it,” Scott said. “Monday will be a soft opening and we plan to hold a grand opening within the next three weeks.”

The new store will include three separate buildings for farm and garden, building supplies, and lumber.

Scott said he plans to hire about 30-35 people at the Rickman location.

The business formed in 2012 by combining Pickett Farm Supply and Pickett Building Center. The Byrdstown location opened as Country Farm and Home in 2015 off Highway 111 in Byrdstown.
