Cookeville’s Pop-up Trump Store

An all Donald Trump store is doing business on Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville.

Store Manager Greg Tipton said the idea for the store popped up when the county fair season ended. The store is operated by East Coast Concessions and Tipton said the operators wanted a temporary location so memorabilia can keep selling.

“We’re also very big Trump supporters so we decided, well hey let’s do something no one else is doing so we put the Trump gear out, t-shirts, hats, key chains and all that,” Tipton said. “Several companies that seen what we were doing, we’ve talked to them about it and now they’re pretty much all over the United States.”

Tipton said that if President Trump wins the election he expects the store will be around until the end of the year. When regular business starts back up.

“We’ll probably finish out the year pretty much doing this right here,” Tipton said. “Then get ready for the new fair season starting next year.”

Tipton said the items most people look for are the assorted flags. As well as smaller items from jewelry to socks.

East Coast Concessions is a company based out of Summerville, South Carolina.
