Cookeville’s Color Run Saturday

Cookeville’s color run to benefit the American Cancer Society will take place Saturday.

Leah Norris serves as a co-organizer for the event. She said registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in Dogwood Park near First Avenue.

“There’ll be 3 color stations where they’ll be splashed with color through the event and at the finish line we’ll have our awards ceremony, probably around 9 o’clock,” Norris said.

Norris said registration is $30. And all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

“Just come out, you can still register that morning, anyone who comes out and races for this race will receive a discount on the next race that we do, so just come out, support the cause and have a good time with it,” Norris said.

T-shirts can be purchased separately the day of the event, they’ll be delivered later, she said.
